Freelance Videographer

About the Role:

We specialize in conducting personal interviews in people’s homes to create cherished family heirlooms. We are seeking a talented mid-level videographer with flexible hours to join our team. This role involves filming interviews with a focus on high-quality portrait lighting and steady shots. Interviews are pre-scheduled and typically last between 2-5 hours, often taking place early in the morning, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Filming interviews in 4K resolution for durations of over 1.5 hours.

• Setting up and maintaining high-quality portrait lighting for steady shots.

• Ensuring all equipment is properly set up and functioning before each session.

• Collaborating with interviewers to capture the essence of each interviewee.

• Editing is not required.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a videographer, particularly with portrait lighting and steady shots.

• Proficient with 4K cameras and related filming equipment.

• Must own a camera capable of filming in 4K for over 1.5 hours. Preferred models include Sony FX3, Canon EOS C70, or Nikon Z6 II.

• Ability to film continuously for long durations (over 1.5 hours).

• Strong attention to detail and an eye for capturing high-quality footage.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Considerations:

• Presentation and Manners - Professional appearance and excellent manners are crucial. We will provide guidance on suitable attire, but candidates must also demonstrate politeness and good etiquette.
