FP&A Supervisor

BHS Corrugated is seeking an FP&A Supervisor to join our growing team in our Knoxville, TN facility!

Responsibilities

The FP&A Supervisor will be responsible for leading financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This includes overseeing the work of financial analysts, reviewing financial statements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and monthly variance analysis and reporting. This is a hybrid position requiring on-site work in office when needed.

There will also be 0-10% travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
  • Mentor and develop FP&A team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Partnering with local and global BU owners, promoting collaboration and relationships with global finance organization.
  • Assists with other departmental tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience - Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting. SAP and SAGE software a plus.
  • Analytical skills – Critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into detail and distinguish requirements from ideas. Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Organizational skills – Order the information gathered during discussions and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills – Excellent verbal and written skills, to communicate information effectively to multiple levels ranging from Management to end user. Strong interviewing and facilitations skills, to meet with individuals and groups about their needs, asking the right questions, understand what is said and identify gaps. Negotiate priorities and resolve issues among stakeholders.
  • Soft skills - Must be self – motivated, organized and be able to work independently and as part of a team in an agile environment.
  • Physical requirements – must be able to work at computer for up to 8 hours a day and lift 20 pounds.
