Role Overview
As the Finance Vice President at Tech Opportunities, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and strategically managing our finance function. Reporting directly to the Bain Capital Group Chief Financial Officer for Private Markets Investing, you will collaborate closely with Tech Opportunities leadership to drive financial strategies aligned with our investment goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team to achieve strategic objectives.
Financial Reporting: Develop and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, oversee quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
Investment Support: Provide financial insights and support to the investment and portfolio management teams, including transactional support and due diligence.
Risk Management: Manage cash flow, capital calls, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and partnership agreements.
Portfolio Management: Develop internal analytics for portfolio insights and support investor relations communications.
Operational Oversight: Drive strategic technology and data initiatives, manage financial reporting software systems, and negotiate contracts with fund service providers.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 15-20 years of finance and accounting experience, with significant leadership experience.
Education: BS or MBA in Finance or Accounting required; CPA or CFA strongly preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to translate financial data into strategic insights, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated leadership in a collaborative environment.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
