Our Biotech client is seeking an Executive Director or VP for Clinical Development to lead our innovative efforts in advancing protein-based immunotherapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
Responsibilities
Lead project teams in designing and implementing clinical studies for autoimmune/immunology indications.
Provide medical oversight to multiple clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
Draft and review essential clinical documents such as protocols, investigator brochures, and study reports.
Facilitate investigator meetings and site initiation visits, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
Develop and execute drug development strategic plans, offering expertise and guidance to meet milestones and budgets.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory affairs, pre-clinical scientists, and commercial teams.
Mentor and manage junior Medical Directors, fostering their growth and development.
Qualifications
MD with board certification or eligibility, preferably in Rheumatology.
Minimum 8 years of drug development experience, either in industry or academia.
Proven expertise in clinical trial design and execution, with knowledge of systemic lupus erythematosus trials being advantageous.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to navigate fast-paced environments with agility and adaptability.
Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
