Halff has an opening for a Transportation Leader to fill our Director of Transportation (P.E.) position at one of our Halff office locations in the Florida panhandle (Tallahassee, Chipley, Panama City Beach, Crestview). This is a strategic leadership position to expand our transportation practice in FDOT's District 3. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in District 3 and surrounding districts. Candidate will have civil engineering experience with a focus in transportation design and project management in the consulting industry and/or experience working with, or for, public sector clients. This position offers a leadership position with excellent career development opportunities for someone wanting to grow with Halff. Director Of Transportation (P.E.) Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a production team, strengthen client relationships, lead project pursuits, and lead delivery of transportation design projects.
• Manage personnel, budgets, schedules, sub consultants and client interaction.
• Work closely with the area Operations Manager and Transportation Practice Leader in business development activities.
  
  

Director Of Transportation (P.E.) Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation project delivery
• Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience (as an FDOT employee or consultant)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida
• Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff in FDOT project delivery
• Proven business development experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity, and success
• Experience with Florida area toll authorities a plus
