Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Director of Patient Access for full-time Day!
The Director of Patient Access reports to the Chief Revenue Cycle and has oversight responsibility of all patient admission, registration and associated activities including scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, registration, bed assignment and discharge. Also, responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the registration systems and related data and statistics.
As a Director of Patient Access, you will:
Create and implement patient access procedures that align with NGH standards, as well as current systems
Demonstrate competence in electronic health records and serve as an owner in the current Cerner implementation
Demonstrate an understanding of patient access and all key elements of the department
Address fiscal budget variances, reasons for variance and be held accountable for the finances in assigned programs
Demonstrate capacity to build and lead a team that is focused on improving quality of care and improving the quality of employment for staff
Demonstrate an understanding of our patient care programs available
Leads as the Director of Patient Access and ensure the department are meeting department and agencies’ standards, metrics, policies, and procedures
Develop, monitor, lead improvement strategies and report on departmental metrics
Model procedures and processes of the organization.
Understand and be held accountable to quality measures/metrics for assigned area
Oversees incoming referrals and referral conversion rates, driving improvement to client access to treatment and ease of registration process
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field required, Masters degree preferred
National Association of Healthcare Access management certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive administrative and supervisory experience
