PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of the Danboro Manufacturing Leadership Team. As the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at PennEngineering, you’ll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.


The Director of Manufacturing Engineering has both tactical and strategic responsibilities. From a tactical perspective, the director is responsible for the administration of the Engineering department, the design of tooling, upgrades to current product and application support to customers. From a strategic perspective, the director’s vision will contribute toward future products and market strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Manage day to day of manufacturing engineering department to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of the corporation.
  • Ensure production is adequately being supported with manufacturing engineering technical resources.
  • Drive accountability within Manufacturing Engineering group to ensure tasks, projects, and processes are timely and sufficient.


Project Management

  • Work with management team to identify business opportunities that can be turned into actionable projects.
  • Define project requirements, establish priorities, and manage expectations with Engineering staff.
  • Oversee project pipeline and track team’s progress to ensure company’s goals and objectives are being met.

Financial Leadership

  • Lead strategic capital process including 5-year vision and plan, current year progress tracking, new capital creation and execution.
  • Aggressively investigate new techniques, materials, and sources in a constant effort to reduce costs.
  • Work with sales to identify market opportunities that coincide with our manufacturing capabilities.

People Development

  • Hiring, Training, Development, and movement of Engineer Staff across Danboro team.
  • Develop cross-functional engineering team members capable of fully supporting each business unit.
  • Coach and mentor engineers within the business to continually expand their skillsets, responsibilities, and competencies.
  • Develop short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.


What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience leading an engineering team.
  • A BSME, or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Good verbal communication skills, writing skills and the ability to present ideas and concepts to other interested parties.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Familiar with AutoCad, Pro-E, Deforms and/or Inventor.
