Role Overview:

FlyFlat is seeking a passionate international traveler for the role of Director of Flights. As part of our remote team spanning four continents, you will undergo flight concierge training while analyzing our product and services to enhance customer experience. Responsibilities include managing flight concierge teams, integrating past experiences to improve service, and maximizing ticket margins. We seek individuals committed to long-term growth and ownership mentality.

Responsibilities:

• Maximize margins on tickets with <20% gross profit
• Identify and pursue consolidator and airline contract partnerships
• Problem-solving in time-sensitive situations
• Training and recruitment of concierge teams
• Develop training materials for concierge teams
• Participate in the vetting of concierge candidates

Qualifications:

• Passionate about international travel
• A hacker in all aspects of life
• 4+ years of management experience in the travel industry
• Experienced in revenue generation tied to premium-class air travel bookings
• Proficient in Sabre and experienced in consolidator/airline contract relationship building
• Results-driven, proactive, and analytical
• Possess an ownership mentality

Nice to have experience:

• Proficiency in hidden city ticketing and hub city/repositioning flight booking
• Experience with early-stage startups and lean team operations
• Track record of improving margins on commercial air travel tickets
• Extensive personal international travel experience
• Strong knowledge of credit points and airline mileage programs
• Familiarity with NDC and customer communication platforms

Compensation:

• Expected Take-Home Pay: $100,000-150,000
• Base Salary: $60,000-$80,000
• Profit-based commissions and equity bonuses mutually agreed upon based on performance metrics
