The Job:

The CW Television Network is actively seeking a Designer, User Experience to join our Streaming team. As The CW streaming service expands our content library for series, movies, and sports, we are committed to delivering exceptional user experiences across all streaming platforms. As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our digital products by deeply understanding our users' behaviors, needs, and motivations for The CW streaming service across Mobile, Connected TV, and Web. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate user insights into actionable design solutions that enhance the overall user experience.

The Daily:

  • Conduct user research through various methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Contribute to research, exploration, and execution of app layout architecture for each app instance. Determine the best possible UX and UI for each platform to maintain brand continuity across each platform while presenting an experience that rewards the user differently whether they are using on mobile or streaming on their television.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups based on user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Perform visual and functionality quality assurance for apps and brand identity in digital space.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and user research.

The Essentials:

  • BA/BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field preferred
  • Must be able to provide samples of their work.
  • Proficiency in user research methods and tools, such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate and present design solutions to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.

The Compensation:

  • $115 - $120K/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.
