Sunrun seeks a dynamic, talented Trainer to help grow our leadership position in the clean energy industry. The position is responsible for delivering training in various modes. The position reports to the Training Manager and must be proficient in all of Sunrun’s products and processes. A major audience for the training will be post-sale customer support professionals. Experience in account management and customer service call center training is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Delivers training programs from basic to moderately complex design. Supporting classes both in person at the office and online.
Demonstrates expert-level classroom management skills to maintain engagement and achieve learning outcomes.
Effectively facilitates group and independent classroom activities.
Provides on-the-job coaching and/or post-training support for concepts that require reinforcement.
Administers knowledge assessments and post-training evaluations to collect data to measure training effectiveness.
Manages multiple tasks concurrently, with support as needed from the manager and team.
Requirements
Demonstrated presentation, facilitation, and group management skills
2+ years of high-volume corporate training experience.
Previous call center or customer-facing job experience is highly desirable
Foundational knowledge related to adult learning principles and/or ADDIE
Basic skills in training content development
Basic Skills with Google Suite
Intermediate skills with Google Slides and/or PowerPoint
Prior CRM experience is desirable (Salesforce)
Must have proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and writing skills required
Excellent presence in presentation situations
Stamina and a customer-friendly attitude
Solar background is a plus but not necessary
Experience delivering both ILT and (synchronous and asynchronous) distance learning
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, high-impact training in the office in our Lehi, UT HQ
Facilitate the achievement of learning objectives for the selected audience in both synchronous and asynchronous formats
Apply adult learning theory and sound instructional methodology to training
Conduct T3 events
Conduct upskilling events
Coach and mentor new employees post-training
This position involves approximately 10% domestic travel
