Our Organization is seeking a Contracts/Subcontracts Administrator for our corporate location in Huntsville, AL.

The selected individual will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, acceptance and management of company contracts and subcontracts (IDIQ, FPLOE, CPFF and FFP contracts/subcontracts). Additionally, will review and approve all contractual documents for protection of company's contractual posture, satisfaction of customer specifications and adherence to company policy. Will also advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions in addition to proposal development, pricing exercises and financial analysis and reporting.

Basic Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals or bids, negotiation of contracts and subcontracts and perform related contract administrative tasks, including the analysis of contract performance requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and related federal and state legislation and regulations
  • Manage Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliant contracts/subcontracts with multiple contract types of Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Time and Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP)
  • Effectively Manage the contract and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall scope
  • Prepare Cost proposals including both price calculations and narrative
  • Assist in the preparation, transmission and monitoring of correspondence relating to contractual obligations and ensure completion and maintenance of contract files responding timely to all contractual reporting requirements
  • Manage a variety of contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements
  • Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status; reviewing contractual obligations; identifying risks and problems and proposing solutions; and reporting to project teams, accounting staff and management
  • Input new contract and modification data in CostPoint to ensure proper internal controls and billing
  • Execute Contract Closeout
  • Establish and maintain complete, well-organized contact files
  • Prepare cost volumes start to finish for government solicitations of various types
  • Prepares "should cost" analysis
  • Prepares and tracks NDAs and Tas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Contracting/ Acquisition Management certifications or degree in related field preferred, but not required
  • Three to five years' related experience
  • Thorough understanding of FAR, DFAR, CAS and TINA
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint Contracts Module and A/P Module preferred
  • Strong knowledge of contracts law
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong data analytics and financial reporting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using government-provided cost templates as well as building complex cost models from scratch as required
  • Must possess excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple, diverse tasks despite shifting deadlines and competing priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively under time-critical deadlines and stressful situations
