About Bowermaster Insurance Brokers, a Division of Patriot Growth Insurance Services: Bowermaster Insurance Brokers is a growing, 70-year-old Insurance Agency with 40+ employees. Our office is professional, fast-paced, and full of energy.

Overview: The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for servicing and managing an assigned book of business, marketing and quoting for renewals and new business, conducting coverage review, and ensuring client satisfaction.

This position can be hybrid or fully remote reporting to our office in Huntington Beach, CA. High speed internet access is required.

Salary Range: $82,000-$94,000 dependent upon experience

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with assigned clients and understand their unique insurance needs by providing personalized service, advice, and support throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Market both renewal and new business by preparing and reviewing Acord submissions, generating online quotes and proposals, and conducting coverage reviews and comparisons.
  • Handle endorsements, policy coverages, claims handling, billing, and certificates for the assigned book of business.
  • Gather renewal updates from clients to ensure accurate and current information to evaluate quotes and recommend the most suitable coverage options.
  • Conduct coverage reviews and comparisons, negotiating with underwriters to secure the best terms for clients.
  • Identify opportunities to secure new policies which includes filling in any coverage gaps and recommend the sale of Cyber and Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) if no such coverage is currently in force.
  • Collaborate with advisors to address renewal matters and provide detailed information on new accounts.
  • Provide training and guidance to new team members to support their onboarding, professional growth, and performance, as well as assist them with problem-solving and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required by leadership.
  • Participate in monthly and semi-monthly staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions and initiatives.
  • Provide desk coverage in the absence of other Account Managers, ensuring continuity of service and timely response to client needs.
  • Collaborate with others to provide client service, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of satisfaction and support throughout their insurance journey.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management.
  • High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree in Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar field preferred.
  • California Property and Casualty Insurance License.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, coverages, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients’ unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing insights and contributing to collective success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information clearly and transparently.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized with excellent project management abilities.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex scenarios and develop solutions for clients.
  • Familiarity and proficiency in using relevant software applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, EPIC Agency Management System, Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools used for client management and communication.

Salary Range: $82,000 - $94,000.00 depending on experience.

  • A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
