Chief Operations Officer

Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a position that will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. Reporting to the CEO and CFO, the COO will perform an instrumental role in leading CodeMax to achieve continued growth by facilitating cross-functional teamwork in a highly collaborative environment with the aim of delivering improved and optimized operating capacity, strong financial results, and expanded demand for CodeMax's medical billing services with existing facilities and potential new facilities and clients across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, guides and directs the preparation of short term and long range operational plans and based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives. Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and procedures in line with the company's vision and goals.
  • Drive performance measures for the operation including a consideration of efficiency and productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction consistent with the Chief Financial Officer’s broad policies and objectives. Manages subordinate department managers who supervise staff members in multiple departments. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood. Ensures the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the subordinate units/departments.
  • Collaborates with executive management in operational performance improvement activities for all services and customers. Develops and installs procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow, establishes operating policies consistent with the Chief Executive Officer’s broad policies and objectives and ensuring their execution.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful implementation and usage of ERP (Dynamics) and accounting systems. Drive business expansion initiatives, including potential market research, product development, and launch. Implement and leverage artificial intelligence technologies to optimize service delivery processes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Behavioral Healthcare medical billing or any other medical field with a rigorous preauthorization process
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience in medical billing, Behavioral Healthcare industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize tasks and use project management & task management systems.
  • Proven Operations leadership experience in strategic planning and business expansion.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics), accounting systems, and artificial intelligence.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to think outside the box and innovate.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
