This position is for a New Jersey unit of Mettler-Toledo named Troemner. We are located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Mettler-Toledo acquired Troemner in 2016. Since 1840, Troemner has long legacy of excellence to offer our employees and customers. Our weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment available. We provide unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, we also manufacture a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Buyer is responsible for planning and procuring direct and indirect material in support of our factory operations. This position works with the Engineering Department, Production Planning, Accounting Department, and Corporate Purchasing to ensure smooth production and logistics. Here's what you will be responsible for:

• Reviews and maintains daily housekeeping tasks.
• Prepares RFQs, and purchase orders as required.
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
• Monitors status of deliveries per due dates and expedites as necessary.
• Confers and/or meets with current or prospective vendors to obtain product or service information such as budget, price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• SAP experience preferred.
