Business Intelligence Manager

The BI Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of business intelligence solutions. This role will lead a team of BI analysts to ensure that the company's data is effectively used to drive business decisions and strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, BI tools, and team management, with a significant emphasis on SQL and Power BI, as well as collaborating with business partners to deliver strategic insights.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lead and manage the BI team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, with a strong focus on Power BI.
• Collaborate closely with business partners across various departments to understand their needs and provide actionable insights.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior management by translating data into strategic insights that drive business growth and efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all BI processes and outputs.
• Utilize advanced SQL skills to query, manipulate, and analyze data effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of BI solutions, making improvements as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in BI tools and technologies.
• Provide training and support to end-users to promote data-driven decision-making.
• Manage BI projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field
• Proven experience in managing and leading a BI team
• Proficiency with Power BI, including experience in developing complex dashboards and reports
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management
• Advanced SQL skills, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of translating data into strategic business insights.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Experience with data governance and regulatory compliance is desirable.
