Title: Backend Developer

Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA – hybrid

Duration: Approximately 12 months

Max Submits: 2

Contract Structure: Must be onsite hybrid (Monday & Friday remote, Tuesday-Thursday onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Python scripts and data streaming applications built in Python.
  • Develop and maintain applications within the card case orchestration systems.
  • Collaborate closely with sprint teams and contribute to the full technology stack lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java, particularly in the Spring framework (critical requirement).
  • Experience developing applications in Python and Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, Route53, and ELBs.
  • Ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA or McLean, VA with a hybrid work schedule.
  • Prior experience with Capital One is highly preferred.
  • Active contractors are strongly preferred for quick onboarding.

This role is focused on backend development for web applications in the card technology domain. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for end-to-end ownership of the technology stack.
