Our client, a global association based in Dallas, is looking for an Art Director to support the organizations quarterly print publication. This freelance assignment starts late June/early July and will continue through at least August with the possibility to extend through end of year and into 2025. The hours will vary based on publication dates and deadlines.
The Art Director will help lead the design process to ensure the publication is professional and engaging. The ideal candidate has strong publication/print experience and can increase the visual appeal of the publication while maintaining the brand standards.
Art Director Requirements
5+ years experience
Portfolio showcasing a variety of print and digital work, with an emphasis on editorial design/layout
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
Art Director Responsibilities
Help develop and conceptualize creative based on content and theme provided by client
Design graphics for feature stories and magazine covers
Design multi-page layouts for print publication
Incorporate existing ads into layouts
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
Consult on best and final external images
Act as main point of contact between inhouse team and freelance design team
