Air Defense Systems Training Manager

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The Air Defense Systems Training Manager will manage and/or monitor Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Continuation Training (CT) and produce monthly/yearly positional training requirements status reports by initiating, tracking, coordinating, planning, and ensuring execution of ADS training program.

Air Defense Systems Training Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage/monitor ADS Training Program. Enter individual's personal information into Senior Knowledge Management System (KMS). Create learning history record data. Initiate training program requests, enroll personnel into IQT, MQT, and CT and enter information into the KMS. Maintain AF IMT 4141/LMS, AF IMT (Individual Training Reports), DOD FORM 2992, Medical Recommendation for Flying or Special Operational Duty reports, and other documentation IAW AFMAN 13-1 BCC V1 and local instructions.
  • Administer electronic examinations via Moodle as required. Document electronic examination scores in KMS. Coordinate with the Chief, Operations Training, Superintendent of Training, Chief of Stan/Eval, and Superintendent of Stan/Eval concerning training requirements and documentation. Coordinate with Stan/Eval concerning release from training and additional training results.
  • Issue training materials, create all 6-part training folders, and explain training plan requirements/process during IQT initial entry.
  • Conduct daily office duties to include general typing, database entry, manage supply inventory, safety/security checks, and ADS reference accountability.
  • Manage/monitor KMS database to ensure trainees' progression meets training timelines and deadlines.
  • Finalize trainees' completion of training by ensuring required documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Manage monthly/yearly positional Continuation Training (CT) quota requirements by notifying Combat Mission Ready individuals of required quotas.
  • Coordinate with other stakeholder offices and agencies (including standards and evaluations, airspace scheduling, etc.), to ensure training relevance and continuity.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Air Defense Systems Training Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • This position requires 5-8 years of experience in training management.
  • Previous military experience, particularly in air defense systems, is required. Experience in roles such as air defense operator, instructor, or supervisor provides valuable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing training programs, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • In-depth knowledge of air defense systems and their operational use, along with a strong understanding of military tactics and strategies.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including military personnel, instructors, and support staff, to ensure seamless training operations.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing effective training curricula and materials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for conveying complex concepts and instructions to trainees and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Leadership qualities to guide and inspire a team of instructors and support staff, fostering a positive and productive training environment.
  • The ability to adapt training programs to evolving technologies, threats, and operational requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in training delivery and optimize learning outcomes.
  • Precision in managing training schedules, documentation, and compliance to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in air defense systems technology and the ability to integrate technology into training programs.
  • A strategic mindset to align training initiatives with organizational goals and enhance overall readiness.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
