Job Title: 2nd Shift Graphic Designer

Department: Grover Gaming Printing

Reports To: Graphic Design Lead

Status: Exempt

Shift Hours: 4:30pm - 3:00am

SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer has two primary responsibilities; creating new art work and processing print jobs for the presses.

Responsibilities

  • Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
  • Prepare art files for production.
  • Create new art work and prepare proofs for customers as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, constantly looking for and implementing process improvements with prepress and preflight functions.
  • Pre-flighting, imposition and color matching/optimization.
  • Build and maintain file organization on servers, databases, and job folders.
  • Support production team to resolve printing issues.
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, patient attitude and professional composure.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with HP Indigo Printers, HP SmartStream, HP PrintOS
  • Experience with pre press
  • Experience with Variable Data Printing
  • Experience with plate production and design

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The usual work environment is typical of an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with no material or weather-related hazards except those associated with travel.
