You're in charge of customer service. How do you choose the best social media monitoring software?
I believe it's important to understand what you and/or your team is looking to learn, implement and/or change with refined customer service interactions. Are you just looking to engage with customers in a new way? Are you trying to curate a social brand voice? Is there a specific marketing goal the team is looking to hit (i.e., new product release)? These questions need to be answered before you decide on a tool that either has a deep analytics dashboard vs. a stronger social listening, for example. After this it can and should be determined the appropriate resource or resources to best reach that goal.

What are effective ways to motivate a team member who is not contributing to the project?
It’s never as simple as we’d like to think it is or just about someone not wanting to do their job. Direct, open, honest, and empathetic conversations build trust between both parties. If as a team leader you’re not listening to discover what’s actually happening you can’t identify what needs work or how to provide the right support. We are all humans after all.
