Advisory Team members will be asked to bring their own knowledge of their neighborhoods and communities to help co-create the Equity Analysis Zones alongside City staff. There are two main tasks the Advisory Team will work on.

The first task requires advisory team members to identify and prioritize criteria and data needed to create the Equity Analysis Zone. Some examples of factors the Advisory Team might look at are people of color, income levels, seniors and children, internet access, or language spoken at home. The Advisory Team may consider which factors are more significant than others based on their local knowledge, and, if desired, assign more importance to those factors.

The second task for the Advisory Team members will be to recommend how these Equity Analysis Zones should be used. For example, the team may decide zones that score highly should be prioritized for more funding and projects, or that higher scoring zones may require greater community engagement and involvement in the future.
