As we celebrate Pride Month, we highlight the incredible work of our Pride CommUNITY Network. This employee resource group supports LGBTQ+ team members across Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin by fostering inclusivity and providing valuable resources. Team members say being part of the network allows sharing in safe space where they can be their authentic selves and receive support. The group’s accomplishments include: ▪️ Introducing optional pronoun badges ▪️ Increasing the number of gender-neutral bathrooms in UPH facilities ▪️ Boosting team member participation in Pride events This year, their goal is to enhance educational materials, pilot behavioral health initiatives and add new members. Imagine getting to work with your role model every day. That's the story for this father-daughter duo, Dr. David Ade and Dr. Rachel Koziczkowski. After spending the past 30 years caring for his community, Dr. Ade now shares his experience with his daughter at UnityPoint Clinic. “I've been able to witness, firsthand, her journey from a little girl with big dreams to a remarkable doctor making a difference," Dr. Ade says. Inspired by her dad, Dr. Koziczkowsk also graduated from the same university as her father. Their tight bond is now a partnership rooted in care, commitment and passion for helping others. “Working alongside my dad at the clinic is a reminder of the dedication he brings to every patient, and our amazing team. Caring for our communities during the unimaginable. ❤️ Last week, a deadly EF-4 tornado ripped through one of our surrounding communities. As part of the recovery efforts, our children's hospital has donated dozens of car seats and pack-n-plays to affected families.
