𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐧: 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 At TVF, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and genuine care for one another is at the heart of everything we do. Dan McGowan, who joined the company as our Content Manager in July of 2022 and became a part of the Ownership and Engagement Board (OEB) in December of 2022, exemplifies these values every day. His dedication to seeking efficiencies, enhancing communication, and promoting interdepartmental collaboration has made a profound impact on our team. 𝐀 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭-𝐈𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 From the very beginning, Dan noticed the unique atmosphere at our company. "There's this almost built-in Kaizen attitude of always improving, always building on what's good, and trying to do something better that I've never seen anywhere else," he says. This mindset is evident not only in our processes but also in our people. Dan appreciates the genuine nature of our team, where kindness and hard work go hand-in-hand because we genuinely care for each other. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐕𝐅 Dan was initially attracted to our employee-owned structure and the thorough interview process, which gave him insight into our culture. "Culture is number one for me," he explains. "Working with people I like, a company that treats its employees and customers well, and offers flexibility checks all the boxes." Dan values the autonomy in his role, which allows him to thrive without micromanagement, contributing to his job satisfaction and productivity. 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 One of the greatest honors Dan received was being voted as the Core Value Champion of Helping People Succeed. Reflecting on this recognition, he shares, "It made me feel really warm and fuzzy. For me, that part of my job is really important, and being rewarded like that is really humbling and gratifying." Dan's commitment to helping others succeed is reciprocated by his colleagues, creating a symbiotic environment where everyone is willing to go above and beyond. 𝐀 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐀𝐢𝐫 With a diverse background in radio, marketing, and news reporting, Dan finds TVF’s pace and culture to be a breath of fresh air. Despite our deadlines and workload, the collaborative and hybrid nature of our work environment allows for a balanced and fulfilling work experience. "Learning is a never-ending process here, especially in textiles. Even the most knowledgeable among us will tell you there's always more to learn," Dan notes. 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 Dan's passion for continuous improvement, genuine care for his colleagues, and dedication to our core values make him an invaluable member of our team. We are proud to have him and look forward to seeing his continued contributions and growth. Congratulations, Dan, on being a Core Value Champion!

As TVF turns 50, we’re looking back on influential moments in our history! 📜 On June 29th, 2017, two textile powerhouses combined with TVF’s acquisition of Pacific Coast Fabrics. 🧵The combination bolstered our product offerings with high-quality connections to additional home décor (cottons and polyesters for bedding, drapes, wall coverings, upholstery, and more)… 🇩🇪 …and print media (including a partnership with Georg+Otto Friedrich) fabrics.
