On July 8th, Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Texas as a Category 1 storm. With our pathfinder observation tasking, we made many successive overpasses of Hurricane Beryl as it traversed the Gulf of Mexico basin. This Tomorrow-R1 granule was the last observation we made before landfall. The left half of the panel pairs geostationary satellite imagery with our radar scan track. On the right half of the panel, we can see our radar made a nice intersection near the center of the storm. The rain rate retrieval highlights the banded rainfall structure that surrounds the inner eye. Learn more about how Tomorrow.io's expanding satellite constellation can provide vital insights for rapidly intensifying hurricanes: https://lnkd.in/gpXFnwJq #weatherforecasting #resilience #hurricaneseason
