Tire Rack, family-owned and headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, is America’s largest independent tire tester and consumer-direct source for tires, wheels and performance accessories. Our team of 90-plus test drivers (our sales team) tests tires from every major tire manufacturer on our state-of-the-art, 10-acre test facility. The findings are then posted on our website, www.tirerack.com, where you can make an educated decision on a tire, wheel or performance accessory purchase. We have also collected results from more than 150,000 consumer surveys representing over 2.6 billion miles of real-world tire data, the largest known cache of such information anywhere. In addition various testing and informational videos are available online in our Video Center at www.tirerack.com/videos Since 1979, we have grown from a single-point retail store in Indianapolis to encompass over 1.8 million square feet of space in 10 distribution centers across the country. A diverse and broad in-stock inventory from 17 major tire and 41 wheel brands can be delivered anywhere in the country in two days or less. Nationally, more than 9,000 independent Recommended Installers are available to service your local installation needs.

May was a very exciting month for us! We had the thrill of watching Tire Rack-sponsored Josef Newgarden secure a back-to-back victory at the Indy 500. Additionally, we partnered with St. Margaret's House for their annual "Undie 500," an initiative to collect new undergarments for women in need. This year was a tremendous success, as we collected over 3,279 pairs of underwear during the drive.

This year’s Indy 500 certainly reminded us why we call it “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”! After a rain delayed start, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden made an incredible last lap pass on the outside to win the 2024 Indianapolis 500 for the second year in a row… We'd venture to say 2 is a very lucky number: 2nd win in a row for driver Josef Newgarden 22 years since the last back-to-back win at the Indy 500. 2nd Indy 500 win for Tire Rack as a partner with Team Penske!

Huge congrats are in order for Team Goodyear! Team Goodyear drove a 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S running on Goodyear Eagle SuperCar 3 tires. The team took the lead at the halfway mark of the event and held it through to the end, finishing first-place in the 2024 Tire Rack One Lap of America!

Local municipalities across Northern Indiana put a variety of electric vehicles to the test on our track, hosted by MACOG and Drive Clean Indiana! About 20 communities from our smallest towns to our biggest cities showed up for this private electric vehicle drive test.
On January 11th, 20 communities showed up to Michiana Area Council of Governments electric vehicle drive just for local governments at Tire Rack in South Bend, IN. Northern Indiana weather at its finest! Local fleet department from municipalities representing Police, Parks, Streets, Utilities, and other departments from small towns to big cities tested a variety of EVs available on the market: Chevy Blazer EV Chevy Bolt EUV Ford F-150 Lightning Ford Mustang Mach-E Nissan LEAF Tesla Model Y Tesla Model 3 #GOEVIN Drive Clean Indiana

We would like to recognize our Street Survival program for ending 2023 with a record high number of sold-out schools AND students per school! Our Street Survival program teaches teen drivers how to control their car in unpredictable situations based on its handling limits. They learn to master the application of driving physics, reaction time and situational awareness in a fun and educational environment. Schools are now opening for the 2024 season! We love celebrating the outstanding achievements of our team, and today, we shine a spotlight on the accomplishments of our Shreveport Distribution Center team. The letterman jackets they proudly wear are a testament to their hard work and well-earned success! Every year, our 12 distribution centers compete for the Annual Quality Award. Throughout the year, each DC strives to have the lowest error rate. At the end of the year, each team member of the winning DC is awarded for their accomplishments. In 2022, Team Shreveport won for the 8th consecutive year and was presented with these jackets, fitted with an embroidered patch with a star for each year they won. Your dedication and excellence continue to set a high standard for us all!
