We are team players with the mission to create positive change through the power of live performance and the arts. www.SundogTheatre.org Sundog has several components: --Original, contemporary, and thought provoking theatre in diverse venues --Theatre, visual arts, dance, music, and literacy programs for schools --Acting lessons for youth from 6 - 17 years of age --Touring productions on educational and contemporary themes What is a "sundog"? When the sun shines through ice crystals in the sky, a sundog appears. Sundogs appear in pairs, bookending the sun like companions -- or dogs -- and reflecting its impression. Just as sundogs reflect the sun, it is an artist's job to hold a mirror to humanity. Through humor and drama, Sundog has presented its theatrical works, many of them Island-centric, for the past 20 years to show humankind through an exploratory light. Likewise, our in-school programs support our mission to create lasting, positive change in children’s lives through the arts.
