Congratulations to the Stanley Consultants federal market team for clinching the grand prize in the Buildings and Systems Category at the 2024 Engineering Excellence Awards!  Our team’s innovative design for the Al Dhafra Large Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, sets a new benchmark in engineering, helping to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.      The hangar is the first element of a $2 billion expansion to transition Al Dhafra Air Base from an expeditionary base to an enduring base. During this 5- to 7-year transition, the hangar is designed to function as a standalone, self-sustaining facility designed with the capability of connecting to future buildout. This state-of-the-art facility supports the U.S. Air Force 380th Air Expeditionary Wing.     Well done to the federal team for their hard work and creativity in bringing this critical project to life! 👏      #Innovation #ImprovingLives

Our federal market leadership team recently visited Guam team members onsite at the construction of a new 198 MW combined cycle power plant in Dededo, Guam.       We are providing engineering, procurement, construction and management services to the Guam Power Authority on this project, to enhance the local grid with fast-response turbines and facilitate solar energy integration, promoting a reliable and sustainable energy future for all residents, territorial agencies and Department of Defense installations on the island. Today, we feature Jacob Helman, a seasoned member of our team and Senior Climate Resilience Consultant.      Jake is dedicated to enhancing climate adaptability. He leads the daily development, optimization and utilization of models for a variety of projects. His specialization in climate vulnerability and resiliency analysis is instrumental in identifying and mitigating climate change impacts.     One of Jake's notable successes includes a study for the EPA, which was featured in a Congressional Research Service document.
