Newton Unified School District 373 serves the educational needs of children in the communities of Newton, North Newton, Walton and surrounding rural areas. The district covers the majority of Harvey County and serves approximately 3,600 students. USD 373 is a member of the Harvey County Special Education Cooperative which provides services to the county.
