  • 🏡The recent Community Living Room event held at Nafasi on Centre brought the community together to genuinely engage in issues affecting the Black community. Facilitated by Drs. T. Elon Dancy and Martez Files from the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Urban Education (CUE), the evening was filled with active listening, thoughtful challenges, and deep learning, creating an atmosphere of anticipation for the next event. Though topics were complex intellectually and emotionally, the space was made safe by everyone's goal of collective imagination, healing, and sharing. The next event will take place on July 18th, continuing the important conversations and community engagement. Registration is required and space is limited. Register here: https://lnkd.in/egQqCMcV

  • 🏙️Our next Development Activities Meeting will be held on Monday, July 15th at 6PM via Zoom! While we are excited to hear about this project, as an RCO, we support projects that have completed the Development Review Panel process. This decade-old process is how we fulfill the RCO ordinance’s requirement for an orderly and democratic process to determine community support for a project. We requested that the architect working on behalf of the City, submit to the DRP so residents throughout the Hill District can give input and be properly informed. We have not yet received a submission, please plan to attend this public meeting via Zoom using the link below. Join here:https://ow.ly/LvyM50Su847
