We want to share a BIG thank you to all the teenagers who joined our VolunTEEN program throughout June. Over two dozen teens volunteered in multiple departments, ranging from same-day surgery to pharmacy to radiology to medical oncology. Leaders across the system said having the teens was a joy and they took full advantage of their summer experience. The future is bright for healthcare!

Don’t miss out on our summer babysitting class at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital! Kids who are 11-15 years old are eligible to enroll. The class is Saturday, August 3rd from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $80. Students will learn basic first-aid and CPR, how to prepare snacks/meals, and develop a babysitting resume. It's right around the corner! Join us for a free family health fair on Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.! It's happening at Methodist University Hospital's Wilson Hall Gym, 251 S. Claybrook, at the corner of Linden and South Claybrook. Hosted by the Methodist Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, the event will feature free health screenings, including diabetes, cholesterol, dental and blood pressure. We'll have free COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, information about sickle cell disease, mental health and other health topics, CPR and choking rescue demonstrations, a blood drive sponsored by Vitalant, free lunch and giveaways and much more!
