This morning, Level All attended the Maine Youth Leadership Advisory Team's 34th Annual Teen Conference to celebrate and help support improving outcomes for youth who are or have been in foster care. We had a great time connecting with other amazing organizations, educators, teens, and guardians, who all share and are experiencing this important mission.

It's June! Wow! We're nearly halfway through the year and I want to take a quick moment to highlight a moment. In April, I had the privilege of engaging in my second National Partnership for Educational Access Conference (#NPEA) held in #Baltimore, MD. This time, I had an opportunity to serve on the planning committee, offering me a glimpse into the intricate orchestration required for so many stakeholders to join in one space with a goal to #PressOnWithPurpose for #Educational #Equity. The communal spirit resonated with me from session to session. I typically split my time between at least two sessions so I can absorb as much as possible. It was a treat to see the brilliance collected from my peers.   I must acknowledge the leadership that spearheaded this endeavor, orchestrating seamless coordination, communication, and collaboration. To Karin Elliott, Bianca Diaz, and Carrie Tate (among others), your adept stewardship and collective leadership behind the scenes and on stage was instrumental in the success of this year's conference. It was a privilege to dedicate my time to this effort under your leadership. To my LinkedIn Community:  Participation in the NPEA Conference has been transformative for me because it broadened my knowledge and awareness of others advancing the college access and college success fields. It serves as a beacon guiding us toward networking opportunities and the cultivation of partnerships with organizations rooted in their commitment to serving our youth. Throughout the past year, I've had the privilege of engaging with exceptional entities like Level All (Natasha de Sherbinin, Julia Gurdak, Sarah Loewentheil), Hudson Scholars Program at Hackley School (David Sykes), College Greenlight, a part of EAB and Match at EAB (Jonathan April), and Johns Hopkins University (Calvin Wise and Savannah Miller). Each encounter has offered me a renewed sense of purpose and inspiration for the possibilities. I firmly believe that our collective impact possesses boundless potential. It can be unleashed when we pause to listen attentively, share generously, and seek avenues for collaboration. This is how we magnify our influence and effect positive change in the lives of our youth. #NPEA #Partnerships #Collaboration

Yesterday, Grand Valley State University TRIO Upward Bound Detroit hosted our 2nd Annual Academic Year Celebration at Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan in downtown Detroit for all of our TRIO Upward Bound Detroit Scholars. During this celebration, our Scholars were acknowledged for all of their outstanding work academically, socially and culturally, and for their participation in leadership experiences throughout the academic school year. The celebration also congratulated our Class of 2024 Scholars, and we were able to present our seniors with National TRIO Alumni Association (Official) stoles for their upcoming high school graduation. We were honored to have Mary Sheffield, President of Detroit City Council serve as our keynote speaker. Her words of inspiration and encouragement to our Scholars to push toward their purpose truly resonated with everyone in the room. Another honor included Deborah Marshall, who shared her musical gift in song with our families for the celebration. We also made sure to recognize many of our community partners who joined us for the celebration, so we could thank them publicly for their partnership throughout the year. Huge shout out to the following organizations for their partnerships and sponsorships during the academic year: Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan, The Skillman Foundation, The Konnection, @Ally Financial, Detroit College Access Network, University Prep Schools (Detroit), The Detroit Promise, Detroit Pistons, Michigan Department of Education, YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit, The Lawn Academy, Youth Development Resource Center - Detroit, Grand Valley State University, Level All, The Parade Company, Know Your Rights Camp, and Buddy's Pizza in Detroit. Over the course of two days, we had the honor of welcoming 100 leaders driving innovative solutions to workforce disparities across the country. 🌟 The National Talent Collaborative (NTC) spring meeting included discussions across industries, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Bloomberg Philanthropies, Accenture, Grads of Life, Opportunity@Work, Deloitte, Google, IBM, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Northwell Health, Partnership for Rhode Island, Harvard Business School, Strada Education Foundation, NYC Department of Education, Level All and more. We also had a reception hosted by Tishman Speyer at Radio Park and entertainment from Ego and the Borough of Manhattan Community College's Jazz Ensemble. Convenings like these are imperative to engaging relevant stakeholders to tackle the most pressing workforce issues facing regions across the country.

Today, Level All was honored to participate in the Eagle Academy Foundation’s inaugural Eagle Economic Empowerment Expo! We led workshops in financial literacy and economic empowerment. It was amazing to connect with New York City and Newark students, and we are inspired to keep working to spread financial knowledge to young people everywhere.
