Last month was fu*king insane. After (what felt like years) of: • Changing our positioning • Talking to customers for 16+ hrs a day • Ruthlessly asking ppl: "Why would you NOT buy this?!" to find what they WOULD pay for Something clicked (a story for another day). In a BIG way. Because just this last month alone... • MoM Revenue Up 438% • Tier 1 Investors Flooding Our Inbox • 276 Games of Ping Pong Played (Srikar Chava owes me July rent) • $6B company closed • $4B company closed • $25B company closing • IRL activation deal with a major retailer for 100+ stores nationwide • Several other $100M+ brands projected to close • Strategic Partnership w/ Largest Beauty Brand In the World • Strategic Partnership w/ Fast-Growing Community Platform • Strategic Partnership w/ a Top Consulting Firm • Shipped 13 New Product Updates • Expedited Zapier Integration, thanks to Mike Knoop Looking back, I think there are 5 big lessons from the recent "success" 𝟏. You need to move fast, even if you don't have 100% certainty of a decision. 𝟑. 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤. 𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬. Fake work is doing anything besides selling or building your product. Don't get caught up in this trap. Go sell or build, nothing else matters. 𝟒. 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐍 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐃𝐀𝐘 Most companies are too vanilla. They try to act super professional and show up to customer, investor, and internal meetings with zero energy. This is BS. At Zealot, we require at least 1 laugh to occur at every meeting. Energy is contagious. 𝟓. 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 / 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 Instead of trying to figure out what resonates with your customers by yourself, just ask them. Ask your customers to repeat back exactly the benefit your product provides them. Focus on the outcome of the product. ex. "Now you’ll be able to ___________" Next Up: 10x these results for July
