As part of a week long event to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, JCC held an honor walk at Freedom Park, lead by Fire Chief Ashe and several firefighters in full gear. Chief Ashe was the winner of a County-wide employee voting challenge to wear a pink tutu for the day and he graciously rocked the pink. A huge shout out to all the employee volunteers who coordinated and assisted with this event. And thanks to all the County staff who participated all week long to support a great cause. #JCC #BreastCancerAwareness

It's Pink Week in James City County! Join us in raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month with our events throughout this first week of October. We've already provided a mobile mammogram, held a wear pink day, and even had a pink tutu challenge! Stay tuned for updates on more events! #JCC #breastcancerawareness

New James City County employees enjoyed two full days of training and touring last week as part of the County's Quarterly Orientation and Bus Tour. The days included welcoming greetings at the JCC Library by current County staff, team building exercises, Q&A with department leaders, and visits to multiple locations throughout the County including Fire Station 1, Law Enforcement Center, Human Services Building, multiple Parks and Recreation sites, and the JCSA Treatment Plant. This is a great way to see how the County departments work together to create the best services for our community. #JCC
