Found out about a cool notetaking app called Fireflies.ai yesterday and wanted to share. I had a great call with Carl Kunzmann about IT managed services and digital marketing, and the app recorded our conversation. Aside from keeping a detailed transcription, it also recorded the video, gave speaking time, and included user sentiments. There's a smart search function too if you want to drill down on a topic. The app started automatically during the call, and sent an email recap after. Seems like a great tool!

Are there sales teams out there who are successfully selling without recording calls and meetings? I'm talking Client Discovery Calls and Internal development calls like training sessions. I’ve been looking at a few different AI video tools to help me and the team. A colleague of mine Maisarah S. uses and speaks highly of Fireflies.ai which I've been trialling. From what I’ve seen so far it’s ability to summarise meetings is pretty incredible. My previous experience of tools like this, you would be produced with a line by line transcript which is almost impossible to use without Control + F 😂 I’ll be testing this some more but the things I like so far: - Summaries and next steps that are sent to me following the meeting. Can see this being hyper useful if you are a seller wanting to write a follow up. - Setup was pretty straight forward, same with the usage and AI of the platform - Similar to Gong it tracks things like questioning and tonality of the call whether Positive, Negative or Neutral. Again useful for sales calls or even 1:1s - Cost is really competitive, $10 a month. For comparison I believe Gong is $1600 a year per rep(Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big advocate of Gong as well, but that is competitive). Going to try other features and integrations out so will probably follow this post up with further feedback. Anyone else been using Fireflies for longer? Or other tools similar? If you spend time after meetings writing down action items, decisions, etc, AI can help with that (very important) part of project management. I just tested Fireflies.ai, very impressed!
