We are so thrilled to announce Blackberry is coming back! After 3 years in the vault, this fan-favorite flavor will return exclusively on our website on June 18, 2024. We made the difficult decision to sunset Blackberry in 2021, after a heat wave in the Pacific Northwest devastated the nation’s blackberry supply, resulting in lower quality yield of fruit and steep pricing. But ever since, we’ve been working to find a way to bring it back. Throughout the years we received hundreds of messages from fans calling for Blackberry. We didn’t want to make any promises but DRIFTERS, we read every comment, every write-in, every email, and every signature on that petition. We knew it was going to be hard – but we wanted to do it for our community. After years of planning, sourcing, tasting, batching, and more, we are proud to bring back Blackberry for a limited-release batch—just for fans—exclusively on our website. Members from every department across the Spindrift team made this happen, and we have been so excited to share it with the public. At Spindrift, taste is everything. And we believe the best taste comes right from nature. For this limited edition batch of Blackberry, we went back to the source: brambles in Oregon where the most delicious blackberries grow. Because the best-tasting berries make the best tasting juice and purée. Handled with care and never from concentrate. Rich, delicious and blackberry-y in every single sip. We've been waiting 3 years to enjoy this fan-favorite again and we're so glad it's back!

Every can of Spindrift is proudly made the hard way - and Blackberry is no exception! It requires extra care because blackberries have such a short growing season and require gentle handling upon harvest.

Happy Juneteenth, Drifters! We're celebrating this day of freedom and calling to mind our commitment to social justice. It's an important day for us to reiterate that Black lives matter and Black history is US History. This is one more opportunity for us to celebrate our Black community members and hold space for them - while recommitting ourselves to doing the work. In addition to continuing to hold ourselves accountable, listening, and learning - we’re also taking action to fight racism and injustice in the food system. It's one corner of the world that really speaks to us as a company because we believe that nature gets it right and in making real ingredients accessible to all. Since 2020, we've been supporting Soul Fire Farm, an Afro-Indigenous-centered community farm committed to uprooting racism and seeding sovereignty in the food system. This year, in celebration of Juneteenth, a few of our marketing teammates joined a community volunteer work day to learn all about Soul Fire Farm's mission in a hands-on way. Soul Fire Farm raises and distributes life-giving food as a means to end food apartheid. With deep reverence for the land and wisdom of our ancestors, they work to reclaim their collective right to belong to the earth and to have agency in the food system. They also bring diverse communities together on this healing land to share skills on sustainable agriculture, natural building, spiritual activism, health, and environmental justice. Blackberry is back! After 3 years of hard work, our team was able to create a special, limited release batch of this long-time fan flavor just for fans. In 2021, we made the difficult decision to sunset our Blackberry flavor because of the heat wave in the Pacific Northwest, that devastated the nation’s blackberry supply, resulting in lower quality yield of fruit and steep pricing. And—in true Spindrift fashion—we welcomed the feedback. As the comments, messages, emails, and write-ins poured in, our team quietly worked to find a viable way to make the flavor again. Even if the practical challenges did not allow us to bring Blackberry back to store shelves, we knew we had to do it for the fans. So this batch of Blackberry goes out to all our long-time fans. We read every message, petition, reply, and email. Our team was listening all along and putting in the hard work to make this a reality.
