As summer brings extended daylight, caregivers should be aware of Sundowner’s syndrome. This condition causes increased confusion and agitation in the late afternoon and evening, especially in those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.     Longer days can disrupt routines and worsen symptoms, making it crucial to maintain a consistent schedule. On this historic day, we celebrate the freedom brought by the end of slavery in the United States. That declaration of freedom was delivered in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, inspiring the federal holiday Juneteenth.      At Careforth, we celebrate the diversity and differences that each of our associates brings in work and in life to create a place of belonging.
