Happy #SummerLearning Week! Our 2024 Summer Boost program serves students from approximately 450 public charter schools across 7 U.S. cities to combat learning loss exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. A recent national study assessed the effectiveness of summer learning in bridging post-pandemic learning gaps. On average, the study found that Summer Boost recovered approximately 31% of Covid-related learning loss in math and approximately 22% of Covid-related learning loss in ELA. Relative to their non-Summer Boost peers, students gained on average an additional 4 to 5 weeks of learning in math and an additional 3 to 4 weeks of English Language Arts learning.
