Java Lead (Production Support) Job Location: Dallas, TX (W2 position) Duration : 6+ Months Job Description: Need 9+ years of experience in Java backend development. Proven experience in leading a team and managing production support. Strong understanding of Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and related technologies. Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design (SQL and NoSQL). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), logging frameworks (e.g., Log4j, SLF4J), and version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal. ITIL certification is a plus. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java developers and production support engineers. Provide technical guidance and support to team members in troubleshooting and resolving production issues. Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Oversee the monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues in the production environment. Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders during production incidents. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence. Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues. Create and maintain detailed documentation of production incidents, resolutions, and preventive measures. Provide on-call support as needed and manage the incident management and resolution process. Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems using Java. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within the development and support lifecycle. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
