Collaboration is key to dealing with problems. It's very easy for individuals to meet a problem and then spend a long time trying to solve it on their own. A better approach is to timebox how long you spend on a problem e.g. 30 minutes to 1 hour, and if you can't fix it in that time, start talking to the rest of the team. You might find someone else has another perspective which very quickly leads to a solution. Alternatively if it's a large problem that is going to cause a delay, the sooner it is communicated to the business, the better.
