From my experience - code review is the best way to learn and teach each other. A programmer can spend hours watching tutorials and remember nothing. But he/she will certainly remember if you leave a comment with a better solution. And it works the other way around as well. When you review others' code and think "what the F*!", but before writing an angry comment you try to understand and suddenly notice that "hey, that's actually a neat solution!" - you won't forget that either. Code review is a place where you can get and give knowledge right where the task is. I both learned and taught a lot via code reviews. I see it as the most polite and active and useful way of improving your skills.

As an engineering leader, I have seen firsthand how code reviews significantly enhance our development process.
