Blech. I'm trying to think of the last time I read a romantic suspense with so little suspense. Oh, and so little romance too boot. There was zero chemistry between the hero and heroine. This was a short book but a real pain to finish.

it was ok
I don't know how to rate this book exactly. I didn't hate it per se, but I certainly did not love it. I can't believe how much of this "suspense" read was devoted simply to the main couple (who were not all that likable independently) decorating and/or remodeling their house. I've never seen anything like it. There were multiple chapters and passages about it. Not even kidding! Then there was some stereotypical writing for the black characters in
