I personally did not enjoy the book and saw it as an over anyazlaed look into the lives of depressingly selfless and wealthy characters. Yet it does portray the lifestyle and mindset of different social classes and racial and gender stereotypes. Daisy perfectly displays the mindset and outlook on women and the image they portrayed for marriage and their choice in their lives during the 1920's. Also, Tom was the prime example of the mindset of rich white men and their superiority complex.
