Our users drive the world’s economy.
We help them drive it. For our users, success is all about understanding the world and making every millisecond count. Through user experience research and design, we accelerate our clients’ access to data and insights every day.

We continually enhance and evolve the company’s pioneering software platform – the Bloomberg Terminal – through experience innovation spanning desktop, mobile, hardware and software.

As a member of the team, you’re more than a designer. You’re a student of humanity, a champion of users and a convener of talents. Through observational research, interaction design, data visualization, and prototyping, you partner with product and technology to shepherd your design vision into reality.

Human-centered design has been at the core of our innovation for decades. Join some of the best UX minds in the world, tackle challenges with global impact and shape how the world does business.

Interaction Designer
Interaction designers at Bloomberg are responsible for concept development, wireframe design, and low fidelity prototyping. They visit customers to conduct contextual inquiries, document their observations and synthesize their findings to inform their design solutions.

User Experience Researcher
User Experience Researchers employ a wide variety of research methodologies including task-based lab sessions, ethnographic interviews, heuristic evaluations, card sorts, and usage and feedback data analysis. Our state-of-the-art usability lab is equipped with video, screen capture and eye-tracking technology.

UX Data Scientist
Our data scientist is a master of many quantitative techniques. They focus on identifying patterns in usage and deduce the implications for our products’ design. They establish what data we should collect and how, then analyze it to provide key insights that shape our clients’ experience.

Visual Designer
Working closely with Interaction Designers and software developers, Visual Designers establish the visual language across all channels, including mobile, balancing the needs of the brand with the need for clear and precise display of complex data.

Prototyper
Our prototypers are responsible for building interactive prototypes to validate design concepts for next-generation products. They work closely with the other members of the team to quickly turn interaction and visual design specifications into high-fidelity prototypes that are used by our customers in usability testing.

Technical Writer
Our technical writers create client-facing user documentation for the Bloomberg Terminal. Writers work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with product managers and programmers at all levels of the company, and driving the scope and direction of documentation deliverables. Sitting within UX Design, we have a keen focus on discoverability of our product and collaborating towards client-focused solutions.

We have a long tradition of engaging with and supporting our peers in the greater UX community around the globe. We’re proud to sponsor and contribute to the following conferences and events.
