This book is really great at capturing the real life nuances and complexities in all different kind of adult relationships. The writing keeping you engaged with the story and captivated the whole way through. Billie Piper was fantastic, I really enjoyed listing to her. I was a little disappointed with the ending, but it was overall a really good listen.

A heartbreaking yet inspirational book

This memoir is compelling, inspiring and gut-wrenchingly vulnerable. I felt Matty was extremely open and honest in his struggles with addiction, family and relationships. There’s definitely moments of humour in this memoir, but not in ways that downplay the severity of his situations. If you someone has or is struggling with addiction, or has a close one who is, this gives an extremely insightful look into all of that. It also gives hope to those who might need it.
