Realising that my time with Audible coincided with the wonderful Jodi Taylor's decade of published work felt special. I have enjoyed every one of her 25 novels and 26 short stories over that time (ok, except Santa Grint) . The combination of the ideal Narrator with a witty and exceptional Author means I only stop listening to sleep! Great Story. Great Prose. Great Listening.

Story
For years the firefighters of New York's Engine 99 have rushed fearlessly into hot zones, saving countless lives and stopping devastating blazes in their tracks. They've also stolen millions from banks, jewellery stores and art galleries. With their inside knowledge and specialist equipment they've become the most successful heist crew on the East Coast. Their newest member, Andrea 'Andy' Nearland, is not what she seems either. She's an undercover operative, hunting the men of Engine 99 for a host of crimes - including the murder of an off-duty cop and the disappearance of a mother and child.

Always well-rounded characters, regardless of when and how they are introduced. From the mysterious lead character, to those that are "open books", Candice Fox always manages to draw me in to the grit and grim reality of the world her characters inhabit. Refreshing read.

All original cast still has perfect comedic timing. The sound edit is outstanding. Works for those who never watched the show, deep cuts for those who did.

Story
"Buy my stepfather's ghost, read the e-mail." So Jude did. He bought it, in the shape of the dead man's suit, delivered in a heart-shaped box, because he wanted it - because his fans ate up that kind of story. It was perfect for his collection: the genuine skulls and the bones, the real honest-to-God snuff movie, the occult books, and all the rest of the paraphernalia that goes along with his kind of hard/goth rock.

Deeply moved and decidedly impressed! Beautification combination of old school Radio Play and Audible reading.
Storytelling comes of age with this superb rendition of a Modern Fairytale.
The contradiction inherent to the concept of an Audible version of a Graphic Novel is part of what makes this tale SO compelling.

Story
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.
