Story
Kylie's best friend Braxton is the hottest man she's ever known, with a rock hard body and a smile that melts the panties off every woman he meets. Except Kylie. Mostly. Kylie is anxious to get off the dating carousel and find something real. Despite the way Braxton tends to suck the air from her lungs, she knows he's trouble. He's just another player, and she's tired of the game. But Braxton isn't the man she thinks. The real reason he's sh*t with women is simple. None of the women he's with are the one he wants. None of them are Kylie.

Ok, but the female narrators voice was not my cup of tea. More suited for childrens books.

Beautiful but frustrating

it is a beautiful and sad book. I cannot make up my mind if I like it or not as it becomes very slow and even though it happens things the story gets a bit lost in all the description of details and inner monologue, not necessarily adding depth to the story, but more side content. It is also a bit fragmented. The ending is as one could expect, logic and rational, but leaves one a bit empty and with a feeling of loss of continuation. It is like the story builds up to a "nothing", a status quo.

Ambivalent feelings
Reviewed: 13-02-24
Liked the premises of the story but didn't like the fmc as she is doing the same as the thing she recent her partner is doing. Cheating is not only about being physical. The story could easily have been shorter as it becomes a bit boring.

This book I struggled to finish as the tempo was too slow. I love some of Prowse's books but some I struggle to connect woth the mc's as it becomes too much prose. The sound was also a bit like the narrator sitting in a container reading the book - metallic.
