Fascinating book ruined by poor narration

Decent book ruined by terrible narration

I am honestly shocked someone signed off on this narration being acceptable. There is no standard pronunciation of nouns which can lead to some confusion and I’m pretty sure some of the narrators have no clue what they’re reading aloud. At some points I put it on 1.3x speed just to be able to focus on the narrative as a number of the narrators speak at a glacial pace.

Written to take advantage of the brief window between the end of lockdown and Jimmy getting cancelled for saying something unforgivable to Lorraine Kelly, this book is as timely as it is unnecessary. Because you might be interested in Jimmy's life but he's damn sure you're a lot more interested in your own, Before & Laughter is about both of you. But mainly him.
