Story
Daniel Sloss' stand-up comedy engages, enrages, offends, unsettles, educates, comforts and gets audiences roaring with laughter - all at the same time. In his groundbreaking specials, seen on Netflix and HBO, he has brilliantly tackled everything from male toxicity and friendship to love, romance and marriage. Now, in his first book, he picks up where his specials left off, and goes after every conceivable kind of relationship.

Daniel Sloss is hilarious

here's hoping Sloss never sees this review - because I've watched his specials where he talks about breaking up couples and felt validated in being single. But hearing the book, now, and being in a relationship, I feel validated in that choice too. I'd love more books from Sloss and can't wait to see him live. love the podcast too, he's hilarious.

Immediate 5

This book made me cry, and thus an immediate five stars. I loved the characters, and the plot is so succinctly written, it's a great read for all ages. Really enjoyed it.

Story
Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court - but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people. Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms - and she might be key to stopping it.

LOVED IT! (and I'm not a fan of romance so...)

From the world building to the dialogue, this story is fun and well crafted. Just don't get suckered in, this is a classic "CW" style story where sexy scenes are immediately followed by things designed to destroy you.

Story
All sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything. Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has grown up among the tools of sorcery - magical grimoires that whisper on shelves and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with protecting the kingdom from their power.

I didn't hate it...

I really hate giving bad reviews to anything, but this was difficult for me as someone who loves YA and loves Fantasy because I really should have loved it.
So summarised annoyances:
1. The book isn't named after the MC but her love interest...
2... who has very little charisma or chemistry with MC. He does have a few good snarks, but is so detached from the majority of the story.
3. Tried to hard to be beauty and the beast.
4. My favourite character died, and his arc is just explained posthumously.
5. Not nearly enough is explained about the awesome libraries full of Grimoires.
Other than that - its alright!
