Perhaps it's in the conversion to an audiobook where this falls flat. At times it feels like an endless list of scenarios, rather than useful information and tools for assertiveness. Personally, I felt the first few chapters were more practical and the others were padding which only served to identify every conceivable application of assertiveness.

Psychology meets Philosophy meets Derren

This will easily go down as one my favourite listens of the year (despite it having only really started).

Derren Brown makes philosophy digestible and relevant to the everyday. This book is a trove of intriguing ideas which help you to examine your own life and experiences.

It goes beyond 'how to be more happy' and becomes a book about life, death, relationships and everything in between.

I highly recommend this to anyone with a unexplored interest in psychology. It is a fascinating listen.

There's so much valuable information in here that I immediately went through it twice.

Very well explained and covers every stage of the planning, researching, buying and selling process.

Loved it. Served as a surprisingly good companion book to 'Astrophysics for people in a hurry'. Odd, I know, but the combination works so well. I'm looking forward to getting 'Heroes' next.

With no prior reading on the subject, I was interested in an astrophysics audio book that explains complicated concepts with the simplicity required for a 3rd grade kid to understand it. By about Chapter 2, it becomes clear, this isn't it. Some concepts require a little prior knowledge and as a result, I got lost in some sections. Though, it's not long to find even footing again, and there's still plenty of fantastic learning to be had here. Glad I gave it a go.
