Story
Bill Masen, bandages over his wounded eyes, misses the most spectacular meteorite shower England has ever seen. Removing his bandages the next morning, he finds masses of sightless people wandering the city. He soon meets Josella, another lucky person who has retained her sight, and together they leave the city, aware that the safe, familiar world they knew a mere 24 hours before is gone forever. But to survive in this post-apocalyptic world, one must survive the Triffids, strange plants that years before began appearing all over the world.

Classic example of some of the best science fiction
Reviewed: 07-06-24
A profound science fiction classic akin to the works of Wells in the imagining of a post apocalyptic world where humanities own greed has blinded them. The narrator uses grit and soothing voices to tell the story of a most unlikely love that forms from similar beliefs in profoundly obscure circumstances and transcends all the death, disease and flesh-eating herbaceous plantlife slowly taking over the world.

Story
Stephen Fry travels into the most remarkable place we know - our brain. The organ of knowledge and the one we know least about. Over 12 episodes Stephen explores just how much we’ve learned about this mysterious structure in recent years and tries to answer some of the most difficult questions that remain. To do this, we relay the discoveries and stories of neuroscientists, psychologists, anthropologists and even philosophers, to add illumination and perspective as we travel. Each episode will be full of brainy stories: some shocking, some thrilling, some scarcely believable.

Absolutely incredible

Stephen Fry’s Inside Your Mind is an excellent, well researched, and informative listen. I implore anyone with an ounce of interest in neuroscience to take the time to really listen to this audio series. Stephen Fry, as always, is an incredibly intuitive individual who no doubt has done copious amounts of background research on the subject prior to narrating it. The sound scape, B-role and audio engineering / production is of high value. All in all really impressed!!! I’ve learned a lot.
